Total Sci Fi has an interview with Christopher where he mentions another new project he's working on. It's a horror movie, called The Hole, about an approximately 10,000 foot deep hole in Washington State that the U.S. government has taken over and made into another Area 51. No word yet on if it's past the writing stage.

    August 20, 2007

Part Two of TV Crush blog's interview with Christopher is up on their site, and also recapped on Rage of Angels' page.

SciFi.com's Sci Fi Weekly has an interview with Christopher (and Michael and Amanda) looking back on 10 years of Stargate: SG-1. It's up on the Interviews page.

    August 19, 2007

Mary McNamara has updated her TV Crush blog with more information about Christopher and Rage of Angels. Christopher is set to lose another twenty to twenty-five pounds for the pilot. "I don't want to remind anyone of Teal'c at all," he explained.

I think the most important part of the interview so far is Christopher saying "I truly want to be the lead in an hour formatted show and prove that a black lead can be commercially viable and sustainable in overseas markets." He adds, "The Hollywood thinking has always been you can't resell in Europe, but the Associated Press called me the most recognizable actor of color in the world."

Christopher said that Brad Wright's response to that was "You know you're probably going to have to write [the part] yourself." Apparently Christopher got right to work-- Stargate SG-1 was canceled on a Monday and he started to write on Tuesday.

The highlights of Part One are on the Rage of Angels' page, Part One in its entirety can be found on Mary's blog. Part Two of her article should be posted there soon.

    July 30, 2007

I found some great new pictures of Christopher at Comic Con 2007 and have added them to the General Pictures Gallery.

Mary McNamara has reports about Christopher and Comic Con in her latest TV Crush blog. Apparently Christopher has lost a bit of weight, and has grown his hair long. Mary mentions in her blog that Christopher is planning on losing more weight in preparation for his role in Rage of Angels, and that Michael Shanks is indeed attached to the show.

Mary will post more of her interview with Christopher soon, hopefully with more information on RoA.

    Picture from Mary's M2tv site.

    July 28, 2007

Rumors coming out of Comic Con 2007 have Christopher saying that Rage of Angels is a "go with MGM. We are full steam ahead. Be looking for it." No official word yet, but I'll keep an eye out and report back.

Now that Season 10 is over, on the Trivia and Fun Stuff page I've updated the number of times Teal'c has said "Indeed".

    July 24, 2007

I've updated the Slacktwaddle page, it's basically just a clearing house of information right now as no new news has come out about the 2008 Men of SciFi Calendar or new merchandise.

    June 30, 2007

David Hewlett reports on his blog A Dog's Breakfast dated June 24, 2007, that he is writing a a new film role for Christopher:

...I've got to get the nerve up to ask him about the latest film role I've started writing for him...it's a pretty different kind of thing for him, but I think he'd be amazing at it and really chew up the scenery...hoping he goes for it... rather than turning on my [sic] violently, squashing me like a bug and leaving my crumpled form in the gutter beside some lonely road...

It sounds interesting and hopefully we'll find out more about this role and if Christopher wants to take it.

    June 15, 2007

The big news has been Christopher and Michael Shanks' work on a pilot for a new show called Rage of Angels. The basic premise is that Christopher plays Gabriel, who goes to Earth to find the wayward angel Michael, in the process throwing aside the rules of Heaven which prohibit any interaction with Earth at all. Michael Shanks plays Lucifer.

I've started a new page for Rage of Angels; in addition I've made a page for Slacktwaddle - its history and future endevors, more specifically the Men of Sci-fi Calendar.

    April 7, 2007

Christopher and his friend Michael Shanks will be hosting the upcoming special Behind the Mythology of Stargate SG-1. The special explores how different mythologies, such as Egyptian and Norse, and Arthurian legends have affected the Stargate universe.

Behind the Mythology of Stargate SG-1 will be aired on the SciFi Channel on the 13th of April at 7:00 pm, immediately before the start of the second half of Season 10 with "The Quest, Part II".

    March 30, 2007

Unlike other of his Stargate co-stars, news of what Christopher is up to now that the show is over is rather scarce. However, some tidbits have come out of the Vancouver Creation Convention! Michael Shanks mentioned in his talk that Christopher is busy writing a pilot that the two of them hope to executive produce. Apparently, this past Tuesday (March 20th) Christopher had flown down to Los Angeles to meet with someone. It is unclear if it is the folks from NBC or not. If all goes well, they look to begin filming this summer.

But what of the Men of Sci Fi calendar you ask? They are still planning on one, but the shooting of it is up to Christopher's schedule, and if this pilot gets picked up... But they're still planning on one!

    February 28, 2007

It's been awhile since any updates, but it isn't for lack of scouring the web for news of Christopher. I am still searching for information on the supposed film Christopher is in with 50 Cent and John Leguizamo mentioned in a fall issue of the magazine 'Sister to Sister'. However as this was second/third hand information, I believe we need to take it with a grain of salt. Or a whole shaker. Of course the movie may have fallen into development hell.

In Stargate related news, the two movies have been green lighted and are in pre-production. Stargate: The Ark of Truth and Stargate: Continuum. Gateworld also has information about these two made-for-TV movies. Just from reading the spoilers on Continuum, it looks like Christopher will have some good material to sink his acting chops into.

On Joe Mallozzi's Blog dated February 25, 2007 he mentions that Teal'c will finally go to Atlantis, but it will only be a cameo role in an episode called 'Reunion'. I, for one, wonder what the use of a cameo would be. I'm sure we all want to see Teal'c actually interacting with the Atlantian characters, perhaps even sparring with Ronan? Joe addresses that question too, saying that Christopher "...admitted that Ronon's down and dirty fighting probably has the edge over Teal'c's 'wushu sh*t"'. All I have to say to Christopher is old age and treachery, my friend, old age and treachery.

    January 2, 2007

Happy New Year to everyone! Do you remember back in August when Sci Fi had their SciFi Inside: Stargate SG-1 200 special and Christopher mentioned how many times Teal'c had said 'Indeed'? Well, I went and counted, and have updated it to 10x10, The Quest pt 1. I have the table up on the Trivia and Fun Stuff Page. It's not the 27,869 some odd Christopher said it was. ;)

There are a number of videos of Christopher over on You Tube, so I decided to create a new page, Videos. I'll be putting links to all the video stuff I find, show clips, interviews, etc, there. I'm thinking there will be some overlap of pages, where interview videos will be on the Videos page and also the Interviews page, but that just means you'll be less likely to miss it.

I found two videos on You Tube of Christopher's appearance on MacGyver, I've put them under the relevant heading on the Filmography and Videos pages.

    December 17,2006

This is probably old news to most of you, but MGM has acquired the world wide rights to A Dog's Breakfast. Unfortunately it won't be distributed in theaters, only television and home video. The news release does go on to say MGM acquired 'all rights to distribute the film in any and all media including television, new media and home video'.

So while I am disappointed that Christopher and this movie won't be coming to the big screen and those unfamiliar with him and Stargate will miss it, at least it is being distributed and we'll be able to get it on DVD.

    December 16, 2006

I was able to get some screen caps of the video taken at the Santa Clause Parade in Vancouver. They are up on the Gallery page.

    December 15, 2006

Thanks to DiscoDiva we now have pictures of Christopher on the float at the Parade! Stargate SG-1: The Official Video Community Site has an interview with Christopher and the others about the parade, including some video of the parade from the float's perspective. Check out our Interviews page for more information, blurbs, and the link.

    November 16, 2006

More info on the 3rd Annual Rogers Santa Clause Parade in Vancouver. Christopher, Michael, Gary, and Michael's wife Lexa Doig will be the Grand Marshalls of the parade. This is an honorary role, and the Stargate float is a lead float, and will be near the start of the parade. Joining the adults with be their respective children.

The Stargate float will have a large film projector on it and a film strip with images from Stargate SG-1 on it will be wrapped around the projector. It will also have two large TV screens that will be showing clips from the show or they might have a camera operator on the float who will be shooting the crowd that will be on the TV screens; they haven't decided yet. One bit of information that I'm excited about is that there will be a whole group of Jaffa Warriors dressed in costumes from the show walking along side the float. Two of the Jaffa will lead the float, carrying the Stargate banner. I wonder if it's too late for me to go dressed in my robes?

The parade will run east along Georgia Street from Broughton St. to Howe St. and then north up Howe St. to Burnaby St.

Thanks to Michael Shanks Online for the information.

    November 15, 2006

I've found out more about Christopher's role in A Dog's Breakfast. Apparently the role was tiny when David Hewlett wrote it, but Christopher did an incredible job with the reading, and David ended up enlarging the role. Christopher plays a loser named Chris, who can't get a date and resorts to Internet dating. What David had to say about Christopher and the role is on the Interviews page. And we have a picture of Christopher and Kate Hewlett from A Dog's Breakfast on the Gallery Page!

    November 15, 2006

There will be a screening of A Dog's Breakfast in which Christopher has a role (small, I've heard), November 16, 2006 at 7.30 pm at Westside Pavilion Landmark Theatres in West Los Angeles. You have to RSVP to attend.

    November 14, 2006

Christopher, along with best bud Michael Shanks and also Gary Jones, will be leading the 3rd Annual Rogers Santa Clause Parade in Vancouver on the 19th of November.

According to the Vancouver Board of Trade website, the parade is televised and has 'The Spirit of Giving' as its theme, and will feature 60 different bands, floats, and community groups. The parade route is along Georgia and Howe Streets in Vancouver and starts at 1.00 pm.

Although the parade is televised, it appears it won't be shown on Global TV until December 2nd at 1:00pm and December 25th at 12:00 pm.

I'm still trying to find out what role Chris plays in A Dog's Breakfast... Grrr.

    October 13, 2006

Happy Birthday, Christopher! Hope this coming year is good to you and yours.

    September 11, 2006

The SciFi World has a new interview up with Christopher. In it he talks about Stargate SG-1 not being renewed, Teal'c, writing scripts, and a whole lot more. You can even download the audio interview.

    September 5, 2006

Christopher will be appearing at the Starbase Indy convention which takes place November 24-26. He will be there Saturday for the Dinner with the Stars and Sunday for the Q&A and the Sunday Surprise Performance.

    August 30, 2006

Christopher's movie Personal Effects will be on Lifetime September 1, at 2:00 pm. He plays Nate Wall, a private investigator friend of the main character, Bonnie Locke. Rumor has it there were some love scenes filmed between the two, but were left on the cutting room floor.

In a cast interview (one minute in) on Hypaspace Weekly, Christopher says that thinks that this 'cancellation' is only the ending of Stargate's relationship with the SciFi Network. He believes Charlie Cohen, Brad, and Rob have other machinations of SG-1 and Stargate in the works, and just because their relationship with SciFi has ended, that is not necessarily the end of SG-1 and definitely not the end of the Stargate franchise. Don't fret, he assures us, we might be forced to watch them for more years to come.

    August 28, 2006

In the wake of the nonrenewal of Stargate, Chris has a few things on his plate. He had a small part in David Hewlett's A Dog's Breakfast. He plays a character named Chris; no word yet on who the character is or what part he plays in the story's plot. At this time there is no release date for this movie.

I have been told that Chris is featured in the latest (September?) 'Sister to Sister' magazine with Rachel Lutrell. He is quoted as saying that during the summer (this past? this coming?) he is filming a movie with John Leguizamo and 50 Cent. I will try and get a copy to update us on exactly what it is Chris is doing and scan pictures from the article if there are any.
